But at some places, these rites are still being performed. In Sagar district of Bundelkhand, the Mundan Upanayan Diksha Sanskar of the students who took admission in Shri Ganesh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya was also performed. There came a time when these children had to beg alms from their parents. Seeing such moments, everyone became emotional and tears rolled down their eyes. These children were moving slowly forward holding the religious flag in their hands like a sanyasi. They were performing the ritual by begging alms by opening the donation box in front of their parents.

Let us tell you that 100 Batuks have been admitted in the new session in Gadhakota Shri Ganesh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya. They will become proficient in religion by taking education in Sanskrit. Education initiation and Upanayan Sanskar of 101 Batuk Brahmins of Sagar have been done. After this, they will now be taught Vedas and Puranas.

Free Sanskrit school run
Actually, there is Shri Ganesh Sanskrit Vidyalaya located at Pipalghat in Gadhakota. Madhya Pradesh’s senior MLA Gopal Bhargava has been running it for the last several years completely free of cost. So that the religion can be propagated. The initiation ceremony of the Batuk Brahmins studying in Shri Ganesh Sanskrit Vidyalaya was organized at Jagdish Shala Mandir Pateria. The program was being welcomed with the echo of mantras and applause all around. The parents and relatives of the Batuk participated in the event with full enthusiasm.

In the program, the Upanayan ceremony of the Batuk Brahmins was performed and they were made ritualists by giving them religious initiation. After purifying the Batuks by giving them Panchgavya bath in the Brahma Muhurta, the rituals began by applying soil from 11 different places on their heads. After wearing new clothes, everyone was made to sit on the havan altar and the pandits performed rituals for world welfare and peace.

Recite the Guru Mantra by blowing into your ear
During the Upanayan ceremony, the atmosphere in Jagdish Shala temple became religious from the morning itself. When the Acharyas in the pandal blew the Gayatri Mantra into the ears and recited the Guru Mantra, the onlookers became emotional. This program was duly concluded with the blessings of all the saints in the Dharm Sabha.

Gopal Bhargava performed the last rites of his grandson
Gopal Bhargava, who runs Shri Ganesh Sanskrit Vidyalaya and is always at the forefront of Hinduism, also performed the tonsure, upanayan and initiation ceremony of his 8-year-old grandson. And his parents had also come along with his grandmother to give alms to his grandson.
